1780 & Old Wildlife Club

1780 & Old Wildlife Club
A life well lived outdoors

OVERVIEW
What sets Crescent Communities on Lake James apart from other mountain lake living communities is its commitment to lake and land stewardship. Set in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina, Crescent’s two communities, 1780 and Old Wildlife Club, offer striking views of the protected lands of the sprawling Lake James State Park and Blue Ridge Mountains.

Owners in these communities are members of Camp Lake James, an adventure center with a full-time activities staff and an array of amenities.

Crescent's guiding architectural vision is founded on a commitment to respecting the area’s tradition of conservation, and our stewardship ensures that the land’s native flora and fauna will be preserved for future generations. Crescent worked with local, state and national partners to develop its guidelines so that the lake remains as unspoiled as it is today for generations to come.

Homesites in 1780 and Old Wildlife Club range from 1 to 22 acres. Each waterfront lot has space for a private dock, while each lake-access lot enjoys a dedicated boat slip in a community dock. Canoe and kayak expeditions, outdoor pavilions, extensive walking trails, hiking, camping, mountain climbing, numerous opportunities for bird and deer watching and an array of water sports all welcome the outdoor enthusiast.

For more low-key recreation, a number of mountain towns, including Black Mountain, Asheville and Hickory, are nearby spots for entertainment, shopping and dining. Crescent also works with owners to help them establish certified backyard habitats throughout the communities, creating places that welcome the area’s wildlife.
